Outreach Committee Meeting

Anyone is welcome to join the committee at anytime! Please contact Committee Chair, Alyssa Johnson, at alyssa@communityscience.org to sign up or for more information. The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, 3/12/25 @ 4-5 pm via Zoom. Alyssa will share the Zoom link with you once you express interest in joining the committee!

The Outreach Committee met virtually on 02/12/2025 via Zoom. During this month’s meeting we discussed:

• the compilation of a list of local events/festivals that committee members have been working on for CSI to “table” at for outreach about volunteer opportunities, our Journey of Water program, drinking water testing, etc.,
• the compilation of a media contact list including local print, radio, and digital journalists, editors, and event organizers,
• upcoming outreach events that are on CSI’s calendar already!
  • Cornell University is hosting an Outreach Fair for students on 3/20/25, 4-6 pm
  • presentation via Zoom to Owasco Watershed Lake Association 4/2/25, 7-9 pm
  • Ithaca Farmer’s Market Earth Day Celebration on 4/26/25, 9 am- 12 pm
