The Caroline Watershed Committee is sponsoring Caroline H2O and You, an event to highlight the importance of our fresh waters on Saturday, April18th, from 1- 4 pm at the Caroline Elementary School.
- From 1-2 pm participate in an outdoor activity with the Community Science Institute, walking to Six Mile Creek to sample stream critters;
- From 2-4 pm we will gather in the cafeteria to learn from the various presenters and displays: Tompkins County Soil & Water, Town of Caroline Clean-up Week, Watershed Committee Ditch & Roadside Cleanup, Water Resources Institute demonstration of “My Coast” tool for archiving flood events for hazard mitigation planning, Discover Cayuga Lake Trout in the classroom program, TCAMP (Tompkins County Amphibian Patrol) on amphibian monitoring and conservation, Geology of Caroline, City of Ithaca, and others.
