Water Testing Assistance Program

Making reliable drinking water testing affordable for everyone. • Haciendo que las pruebas fiables de agua potable sean asequibles para todos.

In 2025, CSI launched the Water Testing Assistance Program to make reliable drinking water testing accessible for households experiencing financial hardship. For private well users, routine testing is the only way to confirm water is free from harmful contaminants like bacteria and nitrates—but lab-quality testing can be costly.

Through WTAP, eligible participants receive:

  • 50% off CSI’s in-house drinking water tests
  • Personalized recommendations from our scientific staff

View available water tests and fees

Who Can Participate:

  • Private households experiencing financial hardship or low-income
  • Residents from any municipality or county
  • Eligibility is based on self-reporting or referral from trusted partner organizations (e.g., INHS, TCWH Healthy Neighborhoods Program)

Spanish-speaking staff are available to assist!

Who/What Is Not Eligible:

  • Businesses, realtors, government agencies
  • Non-profits (eligible for 10% discount; may qualify if testing for a low-income household)
  • Rush fees (standard turnaround: 10 business days)
  • Retroactive discounts (cannot reimburse past tests)

Re-tests: One re-test per year for basic potability after a failed bacteria sample, if program funds are available.
