In 2021, the Community Science Institute partnered with over 250 community-based volunteers who together collected over 6,900 water quality data items. CSI staff also engaged in over a dozen outreach and education activities in the Finger Lakes region. Help us keep our mission of partnering with communities to protect water in 2022 by becoming a member of CSI in our 2022 Annual Membership Drive! By becoming a member, you are supporting:
- Our four community-led water monitoring partnerships (synoptic stream and lake water quality monitoring, biomonitoring, harmful algal bloom monitoring, and red flag stream monitoring);

The collection of regulatory-quality data that are used to inform sustainable water management strategies;

Outreach and education programs for water stewards of all ages;

The protection of shared water resources for generations to come.
Membership Levels
Join at the River level or higher and also receive a free gift of a Finger Lakes Watershed Map poster (11” X 17”, pictured below) made by our very own outreach and programs coordinator, Grace Haynes.
Join at the Estuary level or Watershed level to choose a custom Subwatershed Map Poster (11” X 17”) designed specially for you by our outreach and programs coordinator, Grace Haynes. You can choose from any tributary in the Finger Lakes watersheds!
