Charlene Mottler
Office Administrator and Laboratory Analyst
Charlene is a native of New York with a diverse background in Plant Sciences, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, and Chemistry. Charlene assists us in both the office and laboratory. She received her B.S. degree in Plant Sciences with a concentration in Plant Genetics and Breeding from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY.
As New York native, Charlene comes from a small farming community near Lake Ontario and spent her summers in the Adirondacks. She has a deep appreciation for the natural world and all its beauty. Having previously worked 15 years in research laboratories, mainly within Cornell University, she is excited to combine her love of science and nature to further our mission at CSI.
In her spare time, Charlene volunteers in animal rescue throughout the Finger Lakes, enjoys hiking, paddling, cross-country skiing, snow shoeing, fossil hunting, wood working, bird watching, studying geology, and spending time with her beloved dog and two cats.
