The Community Science Institute is seeking new board members. At the heart of our organization’s mission is a unique relationship between volunteers who collect stream and lake samples in the Finger Lakes, and our New York State certified water quality testing lab. These samples are then analyzed and the results posted in our public state-of-the-art database. We foster public awareness and stewardship of water resources, while generating regulatory-quality data to inform resource management decisions by local, state, and federal governments. Willingness to work on behalf of our organization is the principal qualification for serving on the board. Experience in business, fundraising or law would help balance the technical background of current board members.
