Critters in the Stream: Biomonitoring and Natural Science Illustration
Saturday May, 6th from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm
First, we’ll venture out to Enfield Creek to look at some of the insects that live among the rocks in the riffles of streams, otherwise known as benthic macroinvertebrates. We’ll use kick nets to capture a stream sample from the creek, pull out and identify organisms, learn what they tell us about water quality, and draw pictures of what we find.
Come one, come all! This event is for all ages. Feel free to make it a family affair!
*if you’re interested please contact us at info@communityscience.org or adrianna@communityscience.org or 607-257-6606 so that we can provide you with directions to the sampling site.
